Week 17a – MKMMA – Heros Journey

My Franklin Makeover virtue for MKMMA Week 17a – Heros Journey has been about Enthusiasm.

What is it in your life that enthuses you, that brings you enthusiasm, that makes you feel more alive when you do it?

If you don’t know, find out and do it as often as possible.

Have a great week.

Week 17 – MKMMA – Taking Initiative

My Franklin Makeover virtue for MKMMA Week 17 was about Taking Initiative.

My home Toastmasters club kicked off the year on Monday evening just gone. I had the privilege of being the the first speaker for 2016 and thought it appropriate to title my speech – Taking Initiative.

Inititative is all bout taking charge and the ability to assess and initiate things independently.
An initiative is the first in a series of actions.
can also mean a personal quality that shows a willingness to get things done and take responsibility.

My speech was for 5-7 mins.  I took up the whole time and spoke for 7: 14.  I told of how I took the initiative to enrol in MKMMA – a 26 week personal adventure.

I also spoke of some of the challenges I have encountered during the past 18 weeks. I finished by saying:
By taking personal inititative, and following a strong desire for further self-development/discovery, through the MKMMA, I have learned much about myself and others“.

I was pleased with the feedback received from my fellow “toasties” following the speech and am highly motivated to further develop my Toastmasters skills.  The Law of Practice!

I am thoroughly enjoying the simple things in life.  Having a heightened sense of awareness is one of them. The Law of Relaxation!

Have a great week.

Reminder to self:

Do it now!! Do it now!! Do it now!!

I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving harmonious and happy.  Yeh!

Have a great week.

Week 16 – MKMMA – New Horizons

To the music of “Oh where, Oh where has my little dog gone”.

“Oh where, Oh where has my old routine gone?
Oh Where, Oh where can it be?
With the Old year complete
And the New Year ahead
The old routine must change to suit me.

I can see, yes I see a new daily routine
Will be splendid, oh yes splendid indeed
For I’m on the way with MKMMA
My life full of verve shall be.”

“Nevermore am I satisfied with yesterday’s accomplishments nor do I indulge, anymore, in self-praise for deeds which in reality are too small to even acknowledge.”

Something new to learn each and every day –  About others and ourselves.
Life can be a challenge – isn’t that fabulous!

Feeling challenged and grateful this past week.

Have  a brilliant week.

Week 15 – MKMMA – Back on Track

I really enjoyed a post from Don Ward this week.  Don shares that no matter how much you believe in the teachings of the MKMMA course and no matter how hard you try to stay on track, sometimes life just gets in the way.

If you’re not following Don take a look at his week 15 post – link below.

I totally agree with Don.

Up to week 13 I was able to maintain discipline – then the Christmas “rush” began. No matter how organised we may be for the festive season, something strange happens and priorities seem to randomly change to accommodate a different plan made by someone near and dear to us.

We had a wonderful New Year break at the beach with family, we’ve had visitors from Scotland staying, not to mention birthday party’s and other social must do’s. I found it hard (ok impossible) to fit in a read or a sit while swimming at the beach, or at a lovely winery we visitied, or over the greek meal our visitors spoilied us with. There were many distractions.  Being fully engaged with our friends and family took priority over just about everything. Thankfully the “rush” has now turned into planned events and feels much more relaxed.

This coming week I am better placed to invest the time needed to honour my commitments to the programme. I will also extend my sits to quiet the mind so that I can bring focus back into my life.

As Don said in his post: Focus and harmony is the name of the game!

Have a great week.

Week 14 – MKMMA – The Scroll Marked IV

It’s been a very busy time, as I am sure it has been for everybody.  Lots of must do’s on the list over the holiday break so far.  Much to juggle and keep up to date with while staying cool, calm and collected.

Enter the affirmations:

Do It Now
I can be what I will to be.
I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy.

And breath.  Simple really!

The Scroll Marked IV
I am nature’s greatest miracle.

“Never will I forget that many have attained great wealth and success with only one sales talk, delivered with excellence”.

WOW – this is a gold!

Have a great week.:

Week 12 – MKMMA – Vitalise Your Life

The meaning of Vitalise  = Give Strength and Energy To.

By attending the MKMMA webinars and undertaking the weekly tasks, readings, reading others posts, leaving comments, over the last 11 weeks, I have learned something new and potentially life chaning each and every week.

I say potentially life changing, because as it says in this weeks Haanel reading , Knowledge does not apply itself – der!   It would be so much easier if knowledge did apply itself.  I have developed a mountain of knowledge over the years – SO WHAT? BIG DEAL! WHO CARES! Exactly!

Before MKMMA I knew that my current level of knowledge and understanding and endeavours may not be enough to achieve my dreams. Enter MKMMA.  I must apply more effort, massage and recalibrate my current knowledge, delete what has not been effective, upload new knowledge that will enable me to be more effective and keep the cycle going – every single day to achieve my desired outcomes.  What a revelation!

My main take aways from week 12 Haanel:

The 3 Step Plan of Thought
You must first have the knowledge of your power.
Second, The courage to dare
Third, the faith to do.

Paragraph 10 gave much food for thought.  It talks about the counterfeits we encounter in life and the way they were listed in 11, 12, 13 14 & 15 was for me an education.

I’ll quickly summarise for future reference:

10. The power of thought has many counterfeits which are more or less fascinating, but the results are harmful instead of helpful!
11. Worry fear negative thoughts12. Phenomenon seekers
13. Hindu Worshipers
14. Telepathy
15. Hypnotism
16. Perversions have their temporary satisfaction and for some a keen fascination, but ther is an infinitely greater fascintation in a true understanding of the world of power within, a power which increases with use.

Just this year, I found out that Napoleon Hill had written a book called Outwitting the Devil.  I’ve so much to read that instead of reading the book, I listened to it on audio and loved it.  If you enjoyed being educated on the counterfeits in Haanel, you may enjoy reading or listening to Outwitting the Devil.  WOW!   (am I allowed to recommend other books here?)

Back to keeping the main thing the main thing here.

I’ll finish this week with a couple of sentences that I enjoyed from week 12.

It is the combination of Thought and Love which forms the irresistible force, called the law of attraction.
Educated desire is the most potent means of bringing into action the law of attraction.

Thanks for visiting.

Have a great week.
